RAM Licensing Changes Now Apply to the Home Edition of Sophos Firewall
Following our previous announcement about the removal of RAM restrictions for Sophos Firewall virtual and software licenses, we’re pleased to share that these changes now also apply to home-use licenses.
Deployments of the Home Edition of Sophos Firewall will no longer have RAM restrictions (no upper limit) as part of their license and will now be restricted only by CPU core count. This change takes effect on May 20, 2025.
To lift the RAM restriction on existing deployments, simply restart the firewall after the changes are effective.
We’re pleased to extend this benefit to our Home Edition user community, enabling greater flexibility and resource usage for personal network security setups.
